Student Visa
International students who plan to study in the Netherlands for more than 90 days need to apply for a temporary residence visa (MVV) and a residence permit (VVR). All students are required to have valid health insurance.
Part-Time Work Rights
International students with a work permit can work part-time for up to 16 hours per week or full-time during the summer. However, if the work is part of a campus internship program, a work permit is not required. The part-time job wage for international students is around €10-€16 per hour.
Accomodation
In the Netherlands, only a few universities provide on-campus accommodation, so students are advised to look for a place to live off-campus. Options are diverse, ranging from shared accommodation to homestays, with an average cost of EUR 450 – 1,000 per month.
