SUN Education Malaysia, in collaboration with Deakin University, successfully hosted the Nutri-Smart Challenge: Healthy Food, Great Future in Kuala Lumpur (28 June 2026) and Penang (3 July 2026). The programme brought together high school students for an engaging competition and public seminar, encouraging them to explore the important connection between nutrition, health, and overall wellbeing.
As part of the Plan and Pitch Competition, students showcased their creativity and critical thinking by presenting innovative ideas centred on the theme “Healthy Food, Great Future.” The competition provided participants with the opportunity to strengthen their presentation, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while raising awareness of healthy eating habits and future study and career pathways in nutrition and health.
The event also featured a public seminar by Professor Sze-Yen Tan, Senior Lecturer at Deakin University and a practising Dietitian in Australia. Through the seminar, attendees gained valuable insights into nutrition science, career pathways for nutritionists and dietitians, emerging industry trends, and the essential skills needed to succeed in the field.
The Nutri-Smart Challenge reflects the shared commitment of SUN Education Malaysia and Deakin University to empowering students through meaningful learning experiences. By encouraging students to make informed choices about health and explore future opportunities in nutrition and health sciences, the programme aims to inspire the next generation of nutrition advocates.
